FAQs

Do cotton sheets trap heat?

Pizuna’s Cotton Sheets are cooling and do not trap heat. At Pizuna, we make our cotton sheets with minimal artificial processing and chemicals. This helps retain the natural cooling properties of good quality long staple cotton. Further Pizuna’s Fine Yarn Technique and Single Dent Weaving create a higher surface area on to wick away any moisture to further enhance the cooling effect.

Why Pizuna’s Cotton Sheets Feel Smooth and Silky

Pizuna’s bedding stands out for its unique blend of quality materials and thoughtful craftsmanship. Here's what goes into making our sheets feel smooth — even silky — to the touch:

1. Finest Indian Long Staple Cotton
We use premium Indian Long Staple Cotton, known for its longer fibers. These result in a naturally smoother and softer texture.

2. Minimal Artificial Processing
We focus on durability and sustainability. By minimizing artificial processing, our sheets retain the natural strength of cotton. While they may feel slightly less soft at first, they get softer with every wash — and last longer, too.

3. Fine Yarn Technique
We use thinner yet stronger single-ply yarns. This technique produces lighter fabrics with a subtle bounce, even at the same thread count as others.

4. Single Dent Weaving
Our weaving method ensures even spacing of threads. This creates a more balanced texture that feels crisp — and to some, even silk-like.

5. Sateen Weave Finish
The combination of fine yarns, single dent weaving, and a sateen weave gives our fabric a smooth, lustrous finish — enhancing both softness and appearance.

Can a cotton pillowcase reduce hair fall?

Pizuna’s Cotton Sheets are Anti-Static in nature which reduces the stress on hair thus reducing hair fall.

The use of minimal artificial processing used in Pizuna’s production process ensures that the cotton retains its naturally anti-static nature. This helps lower stress on hair leading to lower hair fall. Coupled with this is the single dent sateen weave which minimizes friction between your hair and the fabric, reducing breakage and split ends. Sateen helps to retain your hair's natural moisture, preventing dryness and damage.

In addition to the above, our cotton sheets provide a well balance temperature for sleep which enhances sleep quality. Better Sleep in general reduces stress thus reducing all health issues like hair fall etc.

What is the difference between sateen and percale weave?

Sateen: Pizuna Uses a single dent Sateen weave which has a 4 up / 1 down kind of a weaving structure. It is good for people looking for a certain softness and lustre in their bedding. This kind of fabric is known for its smooth touch and lustrous look and is often preferred by customers who like to feel closely enveloped by the fabric during sleep.

Percale: Pizuna’s Percale is a weave which is a 1 up and 1 down kind of construction. Using Single dent weaving, Pizuna makes a squarer construction which has more strength and makes the fabric more crisp and airy. Some people also prefer its matt look compared to the Sateen’s sheen. This is often preferred by customers who like to feel more space in their sleep and don’t enjoy snuggling on the sheets.

What is the material used in your products?

All our Pizuna products are made from the finest 100% long-staple cotton grown in India, known for its cooling nature, breathability, durability, and softness.

What is the difference between housewife pillowcases and oxford pillowcases?
